In 1929 Teekanne brand tea bags, packed in special-manufactured paper, and was introduced to the market. In 1957, Teekanne was the first company launching fruit and plant teas as tea bags, followed by a new tea bag production line in 1967 for the purpose of production of fruit and plant teas, which was the largest tea bag production line ever established in the world until then. Being awarded ISO 9001 Quality Certificate in 1995, Teekanne has recently reached the production volume of around seven billion tea bags at its plants established in Germany, Italy, Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic, Turkey and the USA |
