Tukaş, was established in 1962 at Turgutlu district of Manisa and was acquired by OYAK in 1967. Since then, Tukaş has shown a continuous growth trend, offered 28 percent of its contributed capital to public and corporate shares at IMKB in 1994. OYAK still has the 72 percent shares of Tukaş, has a strong association with its contribution provided for the economy, and plays an active role in the social life of our country. The headquarters of Tukaş is located in Izmir. Tukaş performs its production activities in Turgutlu, Torbali and Manyas districts of Manisa, İzmir and Balıkesir. Tukaş continues its production activities with high technology at its facilities which have a production capacity of more than 130.000 tons/year and has a wide product variety. Tukaş has a product variety of more than 250 products (tomato pastes, canned food (vegetables, pulses, ready to serve dishes and compotes), pickles, jam-preserves and honey, delicatessen, sauce (ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, hot pepper sauce, pepper spread), powdered product (the desserts, soups, whipped cream topping, ice cream, cake creams), and frozen food). The production activities are being continued with high technology at Tukaş facilities. In recent years, Tukaş used to produce only during certain periods of the year, but actually has become a company capable of making productions through out the whole year with the investments realized between 2001-2003. Tukaş’s quality vision is to be a “World brand” targeting high quality production mentality, increasing its market share, improving its technology and continuously developing its leadership status. With this scope, Tukaş products have the quality assurance certificate of TSE-EN-ISO 9001:2000. Tukaş courses its activities without indemnifying its principle of “customer satisfaction”. Tukas is regularly wide spreading its volume of exports. The 35-40 percent of its turnover comes from its exports sales to 63 countries. As a “Mega brand” in the food sector with its wide product variety, Tukaş is rapidly becoming a “World brand” with its wide spreading export channel. |
