Saccharicterpenin is a hi-tech product developed by Zhejiang University, which worked on project "Research & Development on Safe and Novel Alternative to Antibiotics in Feeds (2001AA246091, 2003AA246090)" of The National Hi-Tech Research & Development Program of China (863Program). (1) The key technology of Saccharicterpenin that is a novel alternative to antibiotics in food animals has awarded invention patent in P. R. China (ZL96193005.5), USA(006007822A), Australia (715733), Israel (121917), Russia (2197260), Japan (3474198) and Canada (2224663). (2) Saccharicterpenin Feed Additive composed of triterpenoid and saccharide from plant of Camellia L. was ratified novel feed additive by the Ministry of Agricultural of the People's Republic of China. (3) Researches of Saccharicterpenin have been conducted. Saccharicterpenin have the properties of improving animal immune function and enhancing antibacterium and antivirus activities, enhancing animal performance and improving meat quality and antimutation, antioxidation and scavenging free radical. Saccharicterpenin Feed Additive can make more economic and social benefits than antibiotics feed additives and is novel alternative to antibiotics in feeds. Zhejiang university bioactive substance research center (ZUBSRC) was founded in June 1996. It embarked primarily on researching antibiotics substitute and safety food and relying on zhejiang university in technology. ZUBSRC possesses many experts who specialized in biology medicine, animal nutrition and feedstuff, animal disease control and chemical engineering. It is in charge of many hi-tech projects assigned by the Nation, province and ministry. It puts research, application and education integrated, and actualizes research achievement industrialization and internationalization. Saccharicterpenin has been conferred PCT-International-Patent and obtained invention patent of several countries such as United States, Australia and Israel etc. |
