The company activity--based on the processing of slaughtering discards for the production of fat and proteinic meat meals-has undergone a radical transformation starting in 1970 with the entrance of F. Cantini in the company. In 1975 we have the first fundamental development with the construction of a plant for the distillation of acid oils for the production of fatty acids to be employed in the chemical industrial sector. From 1983 to 1988 we witness a phase of planning and building of the LIPOSAL plant which represents one of the most modern and advanced technological processing in the zootechnical field. The plant, in fact, produces fatty acids calcium salts through the SPRAY technique (world exclusive) obtaining products with a high digestibility, which can be given to any animal species. Moreover, the plant produces vegetable oils for zootechnical use with predetermined fatty acid composition, thanks to the use of the randomization or transesterification technique. In 1990-collaborating with E.N.E.A. (Italian State Agency for New Technologies, Energy, and Environment - Innovation Department - Bioagriculture Sector) the company started study and research for the production of Rumen Undegradable Amino Acids. The result of this collaboration was the creation of a lipidic matrix (patented) having a particular chemical structure which enables it to ensure an excellent ruminal bypass and a complete release of the amino acid once it has passed the rumen. In 1998 we have the building of a new plant for the protection of proteins (Linea Profile) from the attack of ruminal bacteria employing the same lipidic matrix used for the amino acid protection. The SILO factory occupies an area of 30.000 sq.m., 12.000 of which are covered. Production capacity is over 3.000 tons/month. |
