| Description: | Resource Refineries Ltd was established in 1992 with a business focus of mechanically
processing industrial minerals. A range of materials were produced with development of
other products given high priority. After several years of research into NZ zeolite
deposits, processing systems and potential markets it was identified that the Ngakuru
zeolites are internationally unique. Not only do they have high exchange capacities but
they also absorb up to 70% of their own weight as water.
These two characteristics initiated a move into zeolite with a quarry and the Tokoroa processing plant being purchased from FERNZ in 1998. These resources, together with the Company's own quarries formed the basis of what is now known as NZ Natural Zeolite. The new division has a very strong research and development section that investigates opportunities where the unique physical and chemical characteristics of this natural product can be used to advantage. Natural zeolite has a vast number of uses and it is important that clients understand what zeolite is, what it can be used for and addition rates that will achieve desired results. To this end, NZ Natural Zeolite are prepared to offer zeolite for trial purposes and provide other inputs to ensure the product is used to it's maximum potential. Three distinct zeolite types in a range of particle sizes are offered for sale. Specialised crushing and screening equipment installed at Tokoroa enables products from 50 microns to 30 mm to be produced. Packaged products in 1kg to 1,000kg lots are offered for sale. |
